I have found that despite the small size it is easy to use. I can still see the text of my emails unassisted. I have had it about a month and have since traveled almost across the entire country with it and it has performed flawlessly.
I am very pleased.

The only bad thing about the BlackBerry 8130 is the ring volume. It does not turn up loud enough to use a song as a ringtone. The only one that I have found that is loud enough is the classic phone ring, which is boring. I love everything else about the phone. I don't think that I would buy it again though because I like to have different ringtones for different people and it is necessary to hear it ring.

The BlackBerry 8130 has an occasional ticking noise in the background during calls. There are a few dropped calls here and there. A "roaming triangle" shows up when I travel, even if the phone is in an Alltel area. It is pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it. I really enjoy this phone. I wish there was some way to know on the home screen if the phone is actually roaming. The internet can be very slow at times.

I absolutely love this phone. I recommend, however that you be very sure that you will use all its features before you buy this phone. It's not your typical playgames and buy ringtones phone (although you can do these oporations), this is a great phone for people who email, use the calendar, text and use the features that the phone has. I needed this kind of phone because I would always forget appointments, or run late because I remembered at the last minute. Not a problem anymore!!!!!! Terrific phone.

I like the fact that I can tether my BlackBerry 8130 for the internet. I hate that you cannot get picture messages or send them to others. I do not like the voice activation button on the side as it always gets turned on and is very frustrating. It is not text friendly and I regret not going with the larger version of the BlackBerry. I would have traded it back in for the larger version, but dropped it the day before I could go into my local Alltel office and they refused to take it back due to the scratch it received when it dropped. Overall, I have not recommended this version to anyone, nor would I.

I like the BlackBerry Pearl 8130. The only problem is the battery life is too short for how much software it has. I have used the GPS tracking a couple times while traveling and it is great. I downloaded Google Search and find I have problems. If I do a couple levels of searching, I get a message that the service has dropped.

Ever since I bought the Blackberry 8130 Pearl Smartphone, I have been thoroughly disappointed in it's difficulty of use. The phone cuts out during every call. I have lost all the names saved in my address book, voice mail is garbled, and there are a lot of other problems. I would really like to trade it in for a decent cell phone.

The design of the BlackBerry 8130 is nice. It is just hard using the track ball. The call quality is good. I can receive calls every where I go even riding the metro. I am still learning the features on the phone and how to use them.

It took a bit of getting used to, with the track ball and the QWERTY typing, but it works really well once you get the hang of it. The only qualm I really had was that a week or so in, the track ball just stuck and it became VERY difficult to navigate through the phone menus. Nothing a little overuse of the phone couldn't hammer out.
It's sexy, works well, and has a decent battery life. You ought to have a great time using it unless something happens to the track ball.

The Pearl is a great phone, but I am disappointed with some features, like being unable to view online videos and I cant send picture text messages. My Sprint coverage seems to be good. Over all I'm content for now.

The BlackBerry 8130 has exceptionally good reception and the quality of a call is crystal clear. It took a little time to review all the features but I can't think of one thing that could be a con for this great little Smartphone. The video player will drain the battery but that's expected on most phones. The quality of music played on this phone is as good if not better than my iPod. The camera takes great pictures even in low lighting due to the flash on the camera! And of course email is what this phone was made for. It is easy and fun! The only con would be that the keyboard for email and text messages is a little small. If you have large fingers it could be a little awkward. All in all it is a great phone that I would recommend to anyone - and I mean anyone!

Blackberry is great. Has everything I need. The best part are the operators. They answer the phone quickly and are eager to assist. I wish I would have found Let's Talk much sooner. I am referring all my friends and associates to them.
